Our Work - Proof, not promises.
These are real businesses, live in production, honestly described. Where we don’t have a number we can stand behind, we say so.
A lot of people selling AI have case studies that sound impressive and fall apart when you ask a specific question. We’d rather give you fewer examples that are completely honest. Here’s what’s running today, what it does, and what it doesn’t do.
The will-writing business that runs on an AI employee
Around 60% of people in Scotland do not have a will. Not because they do not care: access is poor, the subject is one people avoid, and everyone knows they should but never gets round to it. ScottishWill was built to change that. The technology comes into your living room, and the whole thing gets handled from the comfort of home.
Here is the nuance that matters most. No AI ever writes the legal document. The document engine produces it precisely, the same way every time. Everything around it is carried by the systems we built: a guided journey that gathers exactly what is needed, and automations that carry out each client’s wishes without the manual load. Judgment stays with a person. The pile goes to the machines.
The result is a high-end product at a very reasonable price, and a business where one person carries the admin of four. Without the processes and pricing this makes possible, the business simply would not be viable. That is the standard we build to, because we live on it.
What runs
- Guided intake journey
- Document engine, no AI drafting
- Automated admin and chasing
- Human review on every will
- CRM kept live automatically
Case study 02 · Oil and gas well interventionPaper-based operations, made compliance-grade
HALO Intervention Services works in oil and gas well intervention, an industry where the operational record is the product as much as the work itself, and where that record had always lived on paper.
We designed HALO’s processes around AI automation and augmentation: electronic software replacing the old paper method, so man-hours drop and work gets completed properly, with the record produced as the work happens rather than reconstructed afterwards. More efficiency on the job, better compliance behind it.
The entire ISO 9001 management system was generated on the same automation principles. That is the part worth reading twice: compliance-grade operations with automation baked in from the start, not bolted on after an audit found the gaps.
What runs
- Paper workflows replaced with electronic process
- AI automation and augmentation in the field workflow
- ISO 9001 management system generated on the same principles
- Compliance evidence produced as work happens
A property business that does its own paperwork
Being a landlord across multiple properties is paper-heavy and time-heavy: insurance renewals, gas safety certificates, expense records, and a dozen small deadlines that carry big consequences when missed.
We built PCMG Property a fully automated system for expense management and zero-touch compliance. Insurance gets chased. Gas certificates get chased. Records get filed. Nothing waits on someone remembering, because remembering is exactly the kind of work machines should be doing.
People say property is passive income. It only actually is once everything is automated and systemised. That is what this build proves, and it is why the compliance patterns in it now shape what we offer every client with deadlines they cannot afford to miss.
What runs
- Automated expense management
- Zero-touch compliance reminders
- Insurance and certificate chasing
- Filing without a filing day
Honest limits - What AI is still bad at.
AI is good at things that repeat. It is bad at judgement, context and nuance. We name the limits before you ask.
- Bad at judgement calls. If a client asks an unexpected question, a machine gives a confident wrong answer unless the system is built to hand it off. We build the handoff in.
- Bad at knowing when a record is wrong. AI is good at capturing and filing. It is bad at knowing when a record is wrong. Human review stays in the loop wherever it matters.
- Bad at sensing when to stop. AI is good at follow-up that runs on a schedule. It is bad at sensing when to stop. We set the rules; the machine follows them.
Part of every Opportunity Map is a clear list of what to automate and what to leave alone. The list of what to leave alone is often just as valuable as the list of what to build.
We’re not consulting from outside.
The three cases above are built and run by Assist IQ. Two of them are businesses Ross Gordon owns and operates. The third is a client business.
We built these systems because we needed them. The model works on us first.
No unsourced numbers. No borrowed logos. No invented quotes.
Everything on this page is live, in production, and honestly told. When client numbers are confirmed and cleared for publication, they appear here and not a day before. Testimonials will be real people’s words or nothing. Ask us for references and we will tell you honestly what conversations we can and cannot arrange.
Testimonials to follow
Real clients’ words will sit here once our first founding clients have had their say. We don’t write quotes for other people.
Start with a free enquiry
Not a discovery call. Not a pitch with a calendar link. Five questions about how your business actually runs, and it costs nothing. Ross reads every enquiry himself and replies within one working day with a straight first answer: what looks worth automating, and what doesn’t.
If it looks like we can genuinely help, the next step is the AI Operations Day: one working day inside the business, followed by a written Opportunity Map. It shows what is hurting, what should stay human, and the best one or two jobs to prove first. That part comes later, and only if it makes sense for you.
Free to ask. No obligation. Ross replies personally within one working day.
