The paid first step - One day inside how your business actually works.

Ross spends a working day alongside your team, watching where work waits, what gets repeated, and which decisions still route through one person.

You then receive a written Opportunity Map: what is hurting, what should stay human, and the best one or two jobs to prove first.

Start with a free fit call

£750 per day. Credited in full against a qualifying pilot or build agreed within 60 days.

What happens - See the work before prescribing the fix.

An established business cannot be understood from one person’s version of it. The truth is usually in the handoffs: what the owner believes happens, what the team actually does, and what the systems record.

  • Listen. Start with the owner: where growth is hurting, what keeps returning to their desk, and what they need the business to do without them.
  • Observe. Follow two or three important workflows through the people, documents and systems that carry them.
  • Test the handoffs. Find where work waits, gets re-keyed, loses context, or depends on somebody remembering.
  • Prioritise. Separate quick process fixes from genuine Claude, agent-workflow or BusinessOS opportunities.

The deliverable - Your Opportunity Map.

Within five working days you receive a concise written map you can keep, whether or not Assist IQ builds anything.

  • What we observed. The points where work waits, repeats or gets dropped, and the key-person and knowledge risks underneath them.
  • Three to seven opportunities. Ranked by impact, effort and operational risk, alongside a clear statement of what should not be automated.
  • The best one or two jobs. The work worth proving first, with the data, permission and human-review considerations that come with it.

The cost - The day is the first stage of the work, not a second bill.

The AI Operations Day costs £750 per day on site. If you proceed with a qualifying pilot or build within 60 days, the full fee is credited against it.

If there is not a credible pilot worth testing, the Opportunity Map will say so. You keep the work and there is no obligation to continue.

Scope

One location. Up to six hours on site. Up to four staff conversations. Two or three workflows. One written Opportunity Map. One playback call. Most businesses need a single day; multi-site and estate-wide work is scoped in days, in writing, before we start.

Nothing is connected, changed or automated during the day.

How it works - How it works.

Nobody lands on this website and owes us anything. Talking to us is free, and the day only enters the picture when it is clearly worth it for your business. The path looks like this.

  • 1. A free fit call. We confirm the broad problem and whether a day inside the business is genuinely worthwhile. Ross replies personally within one working day.
  • 2. The AI Operations Day. Up to six hours on site, one location, with the owner and the relevant staff. We agree the scope in writing before you pay.
  • 3. Your Opportunity Map. Delivered within five working days: what we saw, what is hurting, what should stay human, and the best one or two jobs to prove first.
  • 4. Playback, then your call. A 60-minute review of the findings and the reasons for leaving anything alone. Then you commission a pilot, use the map yourself, or do nothing.

Grant funding

If your business is in the Highlands and Islands, you may be eligible for grant funding to cover AI adoption advice, including a day like this. We’ll point you to the right scheme when you get in touch. It costs nothing to ask.

Questions we get asked about the day.

If yours is not here, the FAQ page has more, and the free enquiry answers the rest.

Why not diagnose the business in 45 minutes?

A short call is enough to establish fit. It is not enough to understand an established operation. The useful evidence is usually in the handoffs between people, documents and systems, so we prefer to see the work before recommending what to build.

Do you need access to our systems?

Only what you choose to show us. We may ask to see how selected work moves through email, documents, spreadsheets, a CRM or an accounts package. We do not take system access or make changes during the day.

What if the answer is not AI?

Then the Opportunity Map says so. Some problems need a clearer process, a better source of truth, or a management decision. Recommending Claude where it does not belong would make the eventual system worse.

Do we have to use Assist IQ for the build?

No. The Opportunity Map is yours. It is written so any competent builder could run it, not just us. If Assist IQ builds a qualifying pilot or implementation within 60 days, the full fee comes off the cost.

What happens after the day?

Usually one of three things: a small pilot on one or two jobs, a deeper BusinessOS design stage, or no build at all. You receive the recommendation before deciding, and pilots and builds are scoped to the work and priced in writing before anything starts.

Do I have to pay just to talk to Assist IQ?

No. Getting in touch is free: the enquiry form takes about two minutes, Ross reads every submission himself, and you get a personal reply within one working day at no charge. The day only enters the picture if we both agree there is a real operational problem worth examining.

Start with a free enquiry

Not a discovery call. Not a pitch with a calendar link. Five questions about how your business actually runs, and it costs nothing. Ross reads every enquiry himself and replies within one working day with a straight first answer: what looks worth automating, and what doesn’t.

If it looks like we can genuinely help, the next step is the AI Operations Day: one working day inside the business, followed by a written Opportunity Map. It shows what is hurting, what should stay human, and the best one or two jobs to prove first. That part comes later, and only if it makes sense for you.

Tell us what is slowing you down

Free to ask. No obligation. Ross replies personally within one working day.
